There is a possibility of a 6 rupees 62 paise reduction in electricity prices for Karachi consumers. K-Electric has filed a request with the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for fuel charges in February. The NEPRA authority will hear K-Electric’s request on April 16. A request for the approval of fuel cost adjustments for July 2023 to February 2025 has also been submitted to NEPRA.
