Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that the number of tax filers in the country has increased. He emphasized the need to raise the tax-to-GDP ratio and introduce fundamental reforms to ensure sustainable national stability.
He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed that the government’s role will be limited to providing a policy framework, while the banking sector will facilitate investors. Aurangzeb further stated that the country’s economy is moving toward improvement and the inflation rate is consistently declining.
