Crackdown on traffic violations continues under the instructions of Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah

The traffic police presented the progress report to Chief Minister Sindh for the period from April 9 to 18. According to the report, 15,217 motorcycles were impounded for not having helmets and for violating traffic laws. Action was also taken against 1,124 vehicles with fancy number plates and tinted windows. Additionally, 274 dumpers and tankers were seized for fitness violations and overspeeding.

The report highlights that action will be taken to cancel the registration of 25 large and small vehicles for lacking fitness. According to the traffic police, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has ordered immediate action against overspeeding drivers. He emphasized that underage drivers should not be allowed on the roads and that strict action should be taken against those driving without a license.

He also instructed fines for traffic signal violations and called for a complete ban on the use of pressure horns in vehicles. Special measures should be taken for pedestrians at zebra crossings, and vehicles with additional lights and unnecessary sounds should be immediately fined. Furthermore, an awareness campaign should be launched to educate the public on traffic laws.
